DSSSB Notification Release: Educational Qualifications & Age Limit
For the Tech & IT Roles (TGT Computer Science): For 18 to 30 Years
- If you want to teach tech or work in the IT wing, they are looking for a solid foundation in computing. You qualify if you hold any of the following
- A formal degree in tech: BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science, or a B.E./B.Tech (in CS or IT).
- Alternative Route: A regular Graduation degree in any stream, provided you have cleared the DOEACC ‘A’ Level certification.
- Note on B.Ed: While a B.Ed is highly preferred and advantageous under the rules, your core tech qualification is the primary gatekeeper here.
2. For the Inclusive Education Wing (Special Educators): 18 to 27 year– DSSSB Notification Release
Delhi is heavily recruiting for special education, but you must have your professional registrations completely sorted out.

- TGT Special Education Teacher (High School level): You need a formal Graduation degree paired with a B.Ed in Special Education. (If your B.Ed is general, you can still qualify if you have a dedicated Diploma in Special Education). You must also be CTET qualified and hold a valid RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) Registration.
- Special Educator (Primary school level): If you are targeting the primary classes, the minimum requirement is clearing your 12th standard followed by a 2-year D.Ed in Special Education (or any equivalent RCI-recognized diploma). Just like the TGT role, a valid CTET (Primary) clear and an active RCI Registration are non-negotiable.
3. For the Lab & Research Positions (Junior Scientific Assistant): 18 to 27 year
These roles are perfect for core science graduates who want to work in forensic or state laboratories.
- You will generally need a Master’s Degree in the specific field you are applying for (e.g., Zoology/Botany/Biology for the Biology wing, Chemistry for the Chemistry wing, or Physics/Maths for Ballistics).
- Alternatively, a B.E. or B.Tech in a closely related technical field will also clear the eligibility check for certain scientific branches.
4. Technical Support & Administration (IT Assistant, Overseer, etc.): 18 to 27 year
Because these roles range from core engineering field jobs to office data processing, the criteria are highly specific to the trade. Depending on the post, you will need either a relevant Graduation degree, a Technical Diploma, or an ITI Certification in that exact discipline.
