UPSE CMS (Combined Medical Services) Exam Notification
UPSC has released the CMS (Combined Medical Service) Exam for MBBS graduates Level Candidates. The official notification was released on March 11, 2026. The CMS (Combined Medical Service) exam is scheduled for August 2, 2026, with over 1,300 candidates selected. The CMS exam will be held from March 11, 2026, to March 31, 2026.
The CMS (Combined Medical Service) exam paper will be computer-based. The CMS exam will be completed in two exam papers. Both exam papers will carry a total of 500 marks.Each Paper Will Carry 250 Marks.
Combined Medical Service (CMS) Exam Paper Pattern
The Combined Medical Service (CMS) exam will be computer-based, consisting of two exam papers, each carrying 250 marks. The CMS exam paper will contain objective-type questions, and the test paper will have a negative marking of 1/3 marks.
In addition, candidates will be required to appear for an interview to be selected for CMS, which is worth 100 marks. Candidates must complete three stages to be selected for CMS. In CMS exam, Paper 1, Paper 2 and Interview will be conducted for a total of 600 marks. Syllabus of CMS paper is given below.

To appear for the CMS exam, it is mandatory for the candidate to have completed his/her MBBS degree or be in the final year of MBBS. To fill the application form for the CMS exam, the age of the candidate should not be more than 32 years.
